A Review of the STAR TREK CONCERT at Dvorak's Hall, Rudolfinum Prague on November 2, 2016
The Star Trek Concert was a musical celebration of the iconic sci-fi franchise that has captivated generations of fans. The concert by a National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki, performing selections from the original series, the movies, and the recent reboot. The music was accompanied by stunning visuals from the Star Trek universe, projected on a large screen above the stage. The concert was a tribute to the legacy of Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, and his vision of a hopeful and diverse future.
The concert opened with the fanfare from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, followed by the main theme from Star Trek: The Original Series. The orchestra played an encore of the main theme from Star Trek: The Original Series, as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin, who passed away in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
