At The Paradise Studios, LA 1979
In the hallowed musical confines of Paradise Studios in Los Angeles in 1979, the legendary collaboration between JJ Cale and Leon Russell unfolded, creating an electrifying fusion of blues, rock, and country...
The intimate setting allowed for an unparalleled synergy between the two musical maestros as they exchanged soulful riffs and laid down timeless tracks. Accompanying this dynamic duo were esteemed musicians who added depth and texture to the sonic landscape.
Among them, the rhythmic prowess of drummer Jim Keltner, the melodic magic of pianist Billy Preston, the bluesy guitar stylings of Reggie Young, and the bass grooves of Carl Radle, all contributed to the musical alchemy that resonated within the walls of Paradise Studios that historic night.
This collaboration not only showcased the individual brilliance of each artist but also marked a momentous chapter in the annals of music history, immortalizing the magic of that unique session in the heart of the LA music scene.
