Hawaiian Chicken Foil Packs

Experience a burst of tropical flavors with this Hawaiian Chicken foil wrap recipe, where tender chicken, juicy pineapple, and colorful bell peppers come together in a sweet and savory delight.



Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs Chicken Breasts (approximately 4 breasts)

  • 2 Bell Peppers (any color), diced into large pieces

  • ½ cup Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 4 slices Pineapple Rings (fresh or canned)

  • ½ tsp Salt

  • ½ tsp Pepper


Directions:


  1. Prep the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. Prepare the Grill or Campfire: Preheat your grill to medium heat or set up a campfire for cooking. Ensure the grill or fire is ready before proceeding with the next steps.

  3. Assemble Foil Packets: Tear off 4 large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil and lightly coat each with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place a chicken breast fillet in the center of each foil piece.

  4. Layer Ingredients: Top each chicken breast with a pineapple slice and diced bell peppers, distributing them evenly among the foil packets.

  5. Add Sauce: Drizzle about 1/4 cup of the prepared barbecue mixture over each chicken foil packet, ensuring each piece is generously coated.

  6. Seal Packets: Carefully fold up the sides of the foil to create sealed packets, ensuring there are no openings for juices to escape during cooking. This helps to lock in all the delicious flavors.

  7. Cook: Place the foil packets on the preheated grill or campfire and cook for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. The chicken is ready when it’s cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F (75°C).

  8. Serve: Carefully open the foil packets, taking care to avoid hot steam, and transfer the contents to serving plates. Serve hot and enjoy the tropical flavors of this Hawaiian-inspired barbecue chicken!
