A combination of tender chicken, savory stuffing, and a creamy celery soup sauce for an easy, comforting weeknight meal that’s sure to satisfy.
Ingredients:
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (any flavor)
1 ¼ cups chicken broth
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup frozen green beans (or any vegetable)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare stuffing: In a medium saucepan, heat the chicken broth and butter until melted. Remove from heat, stir in the stuffing mix, and let it sit for a few minutes to absorb the liquid.
Prepare soup mixture: In a separate bowl, mix the condensed celery soup with milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and thyme.
Assemble casserole: Place the chicken breasts in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken, covering it evenly. Layer the frozen green beans (or other veggies) on top of the soup-covered chicken. Finally, spread the prepared stuffing over everything.
Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the stuffing is crispy and the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Serve:
Let it rest for a few minutes, then enjoy this flavorful and comforting dish! Perfect for a family dinner.
Keep stirring, keep savoring, and always let your taste buds lead the way!
