A basic recipe for cannabis-infused gummies. Please ensure you are compliant with local laws and regulations regarding the use of cannabis.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup cannabis-infused coconut oil
1/2 cup cold water
3 oz flavored gelatin (e.g., Jell-O)
1 oz unflavored gelatin (4 packets)
1 teaspoon sunflower or soy lecithin (optional, helps with emulsification)
Equipment:
Gummy molds
Saucepan
Whisk
Dropper (optional, for filling molds)
Instructions:
Prepare the Gelatin Mixture:
In a small saucepan, add 1/2 cup of cold water.
Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
Once bloomed, add the flavored gelatin to the mixture.
Heat the Mixture:
Place the saucepan over low heat and gently stir until all the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Add the cannabis-infused coconut oil to the mixture.
If using, add the lecithin to help emulsify the oil with the gelatin mixture.
Continue stirring over low heat until the mixture is smooth and fully combined (about 5-10 minutes). Make sure not to boil.
Fill the Molds:
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Using a dropper or a spoon, carefully fill your gummy molds with the mixture.
Tap the molds lightly on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Set the Gummies:
Place the filled molds in the refrigerator.
Allow the gummies to set for at least 1-2 hours, or until firm.
Remove and Store:
Once set, carefully pop the gummies out of the molds.
Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can last for up to two weeks.
Dosage Note:
The potency of your cannabis gummies will depend on the strength of your cannabis-infused coconut oil and the size of your gummy molds. It's important to calculate the dosage accurately to ensure safe consumption. Start with a small dose (1/2 gummy) and wait at least 2 hours to gauge the effects before consuming more.
Safety Reminder:
Keep cannabis-infused products out of reach of children and pets.
Label your cannabis-infused products clearly to avoid accidental consumption.
Enjoy responsibly!
Keep stirring, keep savoring, and always let your taste buds lead the way!
