When Depression Hides Behind a Brave Smile.
Sometime the people who strive the hardest to make others happy often carry a deep sense of emptiness within themselves. They know what it feels like to wake up with a heavy heart, to sit in silence as waves of despair wash over them, and to feel a void that nothing seems to fill.
Yet, instead of retreating into their pain, they turn outward, pouring what little light they have into others. Their jokes, their kindness, and their comforting words are not signs of their own joy but shields against the darkness they know too well. They give everything they can because they don’t want anyone else to feel the emptiness they carry.
Those who smile the brightest often carry the heaviest emptiness, giving their light to others while quietly fading in the dark.
But this constant giving takes its toll, leaving them feeling even more drained, their own needs pushed aside in the quiet hours when no one is watching. They are the unseen warriors against sadness, fighting for others while losing ground within themselves.
