OLD FASHIONED PEACH COBBLER

This old-fashioned peach cobbler is packed with fresh peaches baked with cinnamon and sugar and topped with a cobbler topping. It is super easy to whip up using just six simple ingredients and is ready in under thirty minutes.

INGREDIENTS

Peaches:

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1/3 c. sugar

  • ¼ c. butter, diced

  • 6–8 fresh yellow peaches, sliced

Cobbler topping:

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour

  • ½ c. butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ¾ c. sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • Vanilla Ice Cream

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

HOW TO MAKE OLD-FASHIONED PEACH COBBLER

  • Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F.

  • Step 2: To a large casserole or baking dish, add the peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Evenly dollop the peaches with butter cubes.

  • Step 3: Place the melted butter, sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl. Mix well until you have a cookie batter dough.

  • Step 4: Clump and evenly spread the batter on top of the cobbler.

  • Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the sides of the cobbler are bubbly, and the top is golden brown.

  • Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and let the cobbler cool for about 15 to 20 minutes until set.

  • Step 7: Serve the peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy!

NOTE:

If using ripe and juicy peaches, you might need a dollop of extra butter on top, as it helps make more juice if the peaches are not all the way ripe.
