The Easter Egg is a symbol of fertility, and everyone knows what bunnies do...
Despite its significance as a Christian holy day, many of the traditions and symbols that play a key role in Easter observances actually have roots in pagan celebrations—particularly the pagan goddess Eostre (or Ostara), the ancient Germanic goddess of spring
I was raised in the Christian tradition, Catholic, from which I am still recovering.
I was taught that Easter is a celebration of the rise of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith; this is what established him as the Son of God in the eyes of the early church.
Regardless of what religious tradition you follow, the celebration of rebirth holds tremendous beauty and power.
Rebirth is a theme across many spiritual philosophies. You don’t have to wait for a resurrection. Your rebirth is up to you!
For me rebirth is the spring coming out of winter. A sign that life is eternal. It is like a resurrection, like a daffodil waking up from its winter hibernation.
So regardless of what you call the season, it is all about our rebirth, and for me, that you will obtain a higher level of consciousness.
There is no ideological dogma in the Napkin Religion. We do not ask, or want you to think like us, just think. Question everything, even what you know to be true.
