When Death Steals a Parent Away

A child once felt so small and lost

When death took away their parent's cost

No more bedtime stories, no more hugs

Just memories of the past, like fading rugs

A child's struggle with parental death

A heavy burden, a painful breath

No one to turn to, no one to hold

A shattered heart, so lonely and cold

The world seems darker, the sun less bright

A life now incomplete, a constant fight

To find a way to cope and heal

To hold on tight and truly feel

That love still lingers, even in death

That memories live on, with each breath

And though their parent may be gone

Their love still shines, like a golden dawn

So let the tears fall, let the pain be felt

For healing comes with time, and lessons dealt

A child's struggle with parental death

May be heavy, but love still remains, with every breath.

The moral of this poem is that although the death of a parent is a heavy burden for a child to bear, the love between them continues beyond death. It is okay to feel the pain of loss and to grieve, but with time and the healing power of love, a child can find the strength to carry on and cherish the memories of their parents.
