The end of life is a lonely road
No one to share the final load
No one to hold your hand or smile
No one to walk with you the last mile
The end of life is a silent night
No one to hear your cry or plight
No one to comfort or console
No one to fill the empty hole
The end of life is a bitter cold
No one to warm your heart or soul
No one to hug or embrace
No one to see your face
The end of life is a dark abyss
No one to light your way or kiss
No one to love or cherish
No one to live or perish
