Stop the World, I Want to Get Off

Thinking, "Today will be different, a pleasant surprise!"

But by sundown, I've seen all the online fights,

Over pineapple pizza and other absurd rights.

Scrolling through feeds, it's a baffling scene,

From woke warriors to those living unseen.

Debates rage on, louder than ever before,

As if these squabbles are worth going to war.

People shout slogans, their minds set in stone,

While logic and reason are completely overthrown.

It’s like watching a circus, without paying a dime,

A front-row seat to a societal mime.

By the end of the day, I just shake my head,

Thinking, "What the fuck?" as I crawl into bed.

If this is progress, then count me out quick,

Stop the world, I need off this lunatic's trip.

In a world increasingly divided by trivial disagreements, we must strive to rise above the noise and seek common ground to foster unity and understanding.
