Sixties in My Soul

In the echo of my sixties, I find a golden dawn,

A time when love and peace adorned each day that shone.

The spirit of that era, alive within my heart,

Weaves through every memory, never to depart.

Though the years have whispered secrets, aging me with grace,

The light of past rebellion still beams upon my face.

Flower children dancing, with petals in their hair,

Their laughter and their music fill the stillness in the air.

The voices of a movement, for justice, peace, and love,

Still echo in my spirit, like the cooing of a dove.

Marches in the sunlight, with hands entwined as one,

A tapestry of colors, beneath the dawning sun.

Tie-dyed dreams and open fields where freedom found its voice,

Where every song was sacred, and every heart rejoiced.

Though time has led me onward, to seasons yet unseen,

The sixties' spirit lingers, in shades of evergreen.

In the rhythm of my heartbeat, in the quiet of the night,

The love and peace from yesteryears are stars that still ignite.

A legacy of kindness, of harmony and care,

A testament to living, with hope beyond despair.

So here within my sixties, though decades drift apart,

The spirit of that cherished time still pulses in my heart.

For love and peace are timeless, their roots forever deep,

Nurtured by the dreams we dreamed, and promises we keep.

In my sixties, the spirit of the 1960s still resonates deeply within me, with memories of love, peace, and unity woven into my soul. The cherished essence of that era continues to guide me, offering hope and inspiration through life's changing seasons.
