Mary's Little Goat

Mary had a little goat,

Its fleece was white as snow,

And everywhere that Mary went,

The goat was sure to go.

In the '60s she did roam,

A commune was her home,

With flowers in her flowing hair,

And love that she did share.

The goat would follow day and night,

To gatherings so free,

Where peace and music filled the air,

And laughter was the key.

Through meadows wide and forests deep,

They wandered far and near,

In a world of endless dreams,

With hearts so full of cheer.

Mary and her little goat symbolize the 1960s' blend of innocence and idealism, journeying through a world filled with dreams of peace and unity. Their simple bond reflects the communal life they lead, where nature and kindness intertwine. Traversing fields and gathering around fires, they embody a harmonious existence, reminding us of a time when love, music, and a shared vision for a better future guided a generation.

I must confess, I was quite high when I penned this. It's a twist on 'Mary Had a Little Lamb,' reflecting my current stuck in the '60s vibe. Mary and her little goat represent the era's fusion of innocence and idealism.
