A loveless marriage, a union bleak and bare,
Two souls entwined in emptiness and despair,
The vows they made, now broken and untrue,
A bond once strong, now fragile and askew.
The days are long, the nights even longer,
No warmth, no tenderness, no love to make them stronger,
A hollow shell of what could have been,
A loveless marriage, with no hope to win.
No joy, no laughter, no happiness shared,
Only pain and sorrow, that cannot be repaired,
The promises they made, now lost and forgotten,
A loveless marriage, with hearts left to rot in.
They live their lives, side by side but apart,
No passion, no fire, no love in their hearts,
A loveless marriage, a fate they cannot escape,
A life without love, forever to be shaped.
The possessions they have, a reason to stay,
But even they cannot keep the loveless at bay,
A life without love, a life without meaning,
A loveless marriage, a tragedy unrelenting.
So they continue on, in their loveless way,
Hoping for a miracle, for love to come their way,
But deep inside, they know it's just a dream,
A loveless marriage, a life without a gleam.
