The poem depicts the struggle of a transgender person who isolates themselves from their loved ones due to the fear embarrassment to them. The poet encourages society to embrace and accept individuals for who they are and support them in their journey towards self-acceptance.
A soul trapped within a body, A journey that few can comprehend, A path walked by the courageous, A road that seems to never end.
A person who struggles with identity, A truth that is hard to express, A fear of being rejected, A fear of making a mess.
They hide themselves from the world, In fear of being judged and shamed, They isolate themselves from family and friends, So as not to bring them any pain.
They want to be loved and accepted, For who they truly are, But they fear the rejection, And the pain that comes from a scar.
But they are strong and they are brave, They keep moving forward every day, They hold onto hope and love, And they refuse to let fear have its way.
So let us embrace and love them, For who they are, not what we see, Let us support and stand beside them, And let them be free.
For they are a precious soul, Who deserves love and respect, Let us show them kindness and acceptance, And let them know they are perfect.
