They say I'm different, don't fit in the crowd,
Walk my own path, standing tall and proud.
Don't follow the rules, I make my own way,
In this big world, I've got something to say.
Oh, I'm different, and that's alright with me,
Yeah, I'm different, just the way I'm meant to be.
I won't change for no one, I'm true to who I am,
In this big old world, I'm doing the best I can.
Got a heart full of dreams, and a mind that's free,
Living my life, with no apology.
They can talk all they want, try to bring me down,
But I'll keep on walking, head high, no frown.

Every step I take, I know I'm on my way,
Living in the moment, day by day.
Can't be like the rest, no, I can't conform,
In my own skin, I weather the storm.

So here's to the dreamers, the ones who stand out,
To the ones who know what life's all about.
Keep on being different, don't ever be afraid,
In this big old world, we all got a part to play.
Being okay with who we are, quirks and all, is where our real power lies. When we're true to ourselves, despite the pressures to fit in, that's when we shine the brightest.
