It always seems to rain the hardest
On those who deserve the sun
The ones who struggle day by day
With battles yet to be won
They walk beneath the storm clouds
While others bask in light
Their burdens weigh them down
Through every dark and dreary night
But though the rain may pour
And winds may howl and wail
There is a strength within them
That cannot be assailed
For in the midst of chaos
And the tempest's raging roar
They hold on to hope and faith
And keep their spirits soaring evermore
So let the rain come down
And let the thunder roll
For they will weather every storm
With grace and courage in their soul
And one day soon the sun will shine
On those who've borne the pain
And in its warm and gentle rays
They'll find the peace they seek again
