An Autumn Sunset

Oh, Autumn! Your fiery sunsets blaze,

A symphony of hues, in twilight's haze.

The sky adorned in shades of amber gold,

As evening's tale in brilliant hues is told.

The sun, a molten orb of crimson light,

Descends upon the canvas of the night,

Casting shadows long and whispers soft,

A tranquil moment, as the day grows aloft.

The leaves, once emerald, now aflame,

Dance with the wind, a graceful game,

They rustle, like the pages of a book,

Telling stories of the earth with every look.

The air, it carries scents of earth and wood,

A fragrance rich, both gentle and good,

As if the very soul of nature sighs,

Beneath the vast and wondrous painted skies.

The birds, in v-shaped formations, soar,

Their silhouettes against the sunset's core,

A journey southward, in the fading light,

A spectacle, both graceful and infinite.

Oh, Autumn! Your sunset, a masterpiece,

A fleeting moment, a sense of peace,

In every hue and every fading beam,

A reminder of life's transient dream.

So let us stand in awe of this display,

As daylight dwindles and night gives way,

For in this moment, we find solace deep,

In the embrace of Autumn's sunset, we gently sleep.

In the realm of the surreal, this ode evokes the enchantment of the Autumn evening sky, drawing inspiration from a picture that transported me to the mesmerizing fall sunsets I once beheld in the mystic Poconos.
