by Belle Webb
In quiet moments, when I'm all alone,
I think of you, the love that might have flown,
Like a bird that soared so high,
Leaving me behind to cry.
I wonder what could have been,
If we had taken that leap of faith within,
And embraced the love we shared,
Instead of fearing what we dared.
We had moments so pure and true,
And our love was something new,
But we let our doubts and fears,
Chase away what could have been for years.
Now I am left with memories,
Of a love that might have been,
And the pain of what could have been,
Leaves me wondering if I'll love again.
But I know that love is not just a game,
And I'll keep searching, it's not in vain,
For the love that was meant to be,
The one that will set my heart free.
