A broken heart, a shattered soul,
A pain that seems beyond control,
The ache of love, now lost and gone,
The endless night that carries on.
The memories, they haunt and tease,
A past that's gone, but never leaves,
The promises that once were made,
Now left to wither and to fade.
The tears that fall like autumn rain,
The heart that feels eternal pain,
The emptiness that's left behind,
A love that's lost, a heart that's blind.
But hope still flickers, faint but strong,
A chance to heal, to love again,
To find the strength to carry on,
And mend a heart that's been undone.
For in the end, it's love that heals,
And time that helps the heart to feel,
That though the pain may never cease,
There's still a chance to find some peace.
So hold on tight, dear broken heart,
For soon enough, a brand new start,
A love that's true, a love that's real,
Will help your shattered soul to heal.
