When a wild tornado whisked Dorothy and Toto away to a technicolor world, little did she know that the Yellow Brick Road would lead her to the ultimate high.
Dorothy was just an ordinary girl from Kansas, used to dusty fields and long, quiet days on the farm. But one afternoon, a wild tornado swept through, and before she knew it, she and her little dog Toto were spinning off to some strange new world.
When the house finally landed, Dorothy and Toto tumbled outside into an explosion of colors. The fields around her sparkled in shades of green so bright they looked like they were glowing. Dorothy blinked. "Whoa... Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore," she murmured, pulling out a small tin she always kept with her, filled with the finest green herb Kansas had to offer. She lit up, took a deep drag, and marveled as the colors around her seemed to vibrate.
In moments, a group of small, happy people emerged, introducing themselves as the Munchies… or Munchkins? Dorothy couldn't quite remember, but she was sure they said something about her “taking out the Wicked Witch of the East.” She hadn’t even noticed the pointy shoes sticking out from under her house! She shrugged it off, thinking she’d deal with that later, and took another puff.
Just then, a glowing figure appeared in a cloud of pink smoke. It was Glinda, the Good Witch, looking like an ethereal angel who could only have been dreamed up by the mind of a stoner.
“Dorothy,” Glinda said, her voice floating like a soft melody, “if you wish to get back to Kansas, you’ll have to go see the Wizard of Oz in the Emerald City. But be careful of the Wicked Witch of the West—she’ll want those shoes you’re wearing.”
Dorothy looked down, only now noticing the sparkly red shoes on her feet. "Whoa, shiny," she mumbled, giving them a little tap.
And so, Dorothy and Toto set off on the Yellow Brick Road. The road was smooth, and the scenery was mind-blowing, especially when the herb kicked in fully. She spotted a Scarecrow standing in the middle of a field, looking like he was on some deep, trippy journey himself.
“Hey, man,” said the Scarecrow, scratching his head of straw, “I’ve been out here forever, just spacing out. Got any ideas?”
Dorothy passed him her joint, and after a thoughtful inhale, the Scarecrow’s eyes lit up. “Whoa! This is exactly what I needed. All my thoughts are connecting now! Maybe I do have a brain.” They shared a few more puffs, and the Scarecrow decided he’d tag along to the Emerald City. He thought the Wizard might have some extra wisdom for him, or at least some snacks.
Further down the road, they encountered the Tin Man, frozen stiff in the forest. After a few pulls of Dorothy’s joint, and a few drops of CBD oil, he relaxed, feeling his metal heart warm up with each exhale. “You know,” he said, “I never realized how good it feels to just, like, feel. Let’s keep going; maybe the Wizard will have something cool to show us.”
As they continued, they heard a soft whimpering from the bushes. It was the Cowardly Lion, who jumped out and promptly admitted, “I’m scared of everything—even myself!”
Dorothy handed him the joint, and he took a shaky puff. Instantly, he felt a surge of confidence. “Wait… maybe it’s okay to be afraid, as long as I keep moving forward!” he roared, feeling like he could take on anything.
The crew made their way through flower fields, forests, and strange landscapes that seemed like something out of a dream—or maybe a really good trip. But before they reached the Emerald City, the Wicked Witch appeared in a haze of smoke, along with her terrifying flying monkeys.
The Witch cackled, “Give me those shoes, or I’ll set my monkeys on you!”
Dorothy, with a calm smile, offered her a hit from her joint. “Hey, maybe you just need to chill out a little?”
The Wicked Witch looked suspiciously at Dorothy, but the smell was so inviting that she took a puff. Almost immediately, she relaxed, her scowl softening. “You know, I’ve been stressed lately—running a kingdom is no easy task,” she sighed. The flying monkeys hovered, unsure whether they were supposed to be menacing or just hang out. They shrugged and swooped down to join the circle, one grabbing a handful of weed from Dorothy’s bag.
Finally, the crew reached the Emerald City and found the Wizard himself. He was an eccentric fellow surrounded by puffs of smoke, sitting back in a comfy chair.
“So, what brings you here?” he asked, his eyes a little glazed but kind.
The Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, and Dorothy all explained their wishes, and the Wizard simply chuckled. “You’ve had what you needed all along,” he said. “You just needed to open your minds.”
With a snap of his fingers, the Wizard sent Dorothy back to Kansas. When she opened her eyes, she was lying in her bed with Toto curled up beside her. “What a trip…” she murmured. But in her hand, she found a little piece of herb, reminding her that Oz was out there, just a puff away.
The end.
Dude, the moral of the story is simple: enlightenment’s not some big secret, it’s about chilling, being present, and letting go of the fear. The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion thought they needed something more, but they had everything inside them the whole time. Sometimes, growth comes from just letting life flow, trusting the journey, and being open to what’s already there. Peace and good vibes, always. 🌱💚
