This story teaches that growth and change, though sometimes uncomfortable, lead to exciting new adventures and discoveries. Join Bean, a curious little baby, as they navigate the cozy, cramped world of the womb and dream of the big adventure that awaits outside!
Hi there! My name’s Bean. Well, that’s what I think my name is. I keep hearing it from outside, but I don’t really know for sure yet. You see, I’m still in a very small place—really small! It’s called the womb, and it’s where babies grow before they get to come out and meet everyone. But let me tell you, growing in here is a bit of an adventure!
At first, it wasn’t so bad. It was warm, cozy, and I had lots of room to wiggle my tiny toes. It felt like I was floating in a nice, quiet bubble. But then something happened: I started to grow. And grow. And GROW!
Now, there’s hardly any space in here at all! It feels like I’m trying to stretch out in a sock that’s way too tight. I want to stretch my legs, but when I do, I bump into something squishy. Sometimes I think it’s a rib (whatever that is). And when I roll over to get more comfy—oops! I bump into the walls again!
I keep thinking, “Is it going to get any bigger in here?” But nope! As I grow, my tiny home stays the same size. It’s like trying to fit a big puzzle piece into a tiny spot. Not easy! I’d love to kick my feet and spin around, but there’s no room for all that fun anymore.
Oh, and it’s not quiet in here either. No sir! I hear lots of funny noises. There’s a big, loud gurgle sometimes, like someone’s really hungry or just finished a snack. And don’t even get me started on the strange music I hear. Some of it is fun, and I like to wiggle my feet to the beat. But after hearing the same song over and over… sigh. Maybe some new music, please?
The food? It’s okay, I guess. It’s the same every day. I don’t get to pick, but it keeps me growing, so I shouldn’t complain. I heard about something called “cookies,” though, and boy, do I hope I get to try those one day! Oh, and something called “ice cream”—that sounds yummy.
But here’s the thing: I think I’m getting ready to go on a big adventure soon! I overheard people talking about a “due date.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. I think it means I’ll get to leave this tiny space and move to a big space where I can stretch out as much as I want! I’m excited… and a little nervous. But mostly excited.
So, until then, I’ll keep practicing my wiggles and stretches, and when it’s time, I’ll be ready! I just know there’s a big, wonderful world waiting for me outside, with more space to move, new sounds to hear, and lots of love waiting to greet me.
See you soon, world! I hope you have cookies.
