Rhapsody in Blue is a 1945 biographical film about the life and music of composer George Gershwin. It stars Robert Alda as Gershwin, Joan Leslie as singer Julie Adams, and Alexis Smith as socialite Christine Gilbert. The film features many of Gershwin's famous songs, such as "Swanee", "Embraceable You", and "I Got Rhythm". The film also recreates the debut of Gershwin's masterpiece, "Rhapsody in Blue", with Paul Whiteman's orchestra and Oscar Levant on piano.
