Holy Relic From Two Thousand Years Ago 2002 is a German TV movie based on the novel Das Jesus Video by Andreas Eschbach. It tells the story of Steffen Vogt, a young archaeologist who finds a 2,000-year-old skeleton holding instructions for a modern video camera in Israel. He soon realizes that the camera contains footage of Jesus Christ, and that he is not the only one interested in it.
He teams up with Sharon, an Israeli woman, to find the camera and protect it from a secret Vatican order that wants to destroy it. The movie is a mix of action, thriller and mystery genres, with elements of science fiction and historical fiction. It was directed by Sebastian Niemann and starred Matthias Koeberlin, Naike Rivelli and Manou Lubowski.
