Elastica was a British alternative rock band formed in 1992 by Justine Frischmann, former member of Suede.
Known for their sharp, punk-infused sound and minimalist aesthetic, they gained prominence with their self-titled debut album in 1995, which featured hits like "Connection" and "Stutter."
The album was a major success, embodying the Britpop era's energy while drawing inspiration from post-punk bands like Wire and The Stranglers.
However, legal disputes over similarities to older punk songs, internal struggles, and long gaps between releases led to their decline.
