The End of Time

The end of time, a final rhyme

When all that was, will cease to shine

The stars will fade, the moon will wane

The sun will set, with no more reign.

The oceans still, the winds at rest

The mountains tall, now put to test

The cities quiet, the skies so clear

No life remains, no love, no tear.

The universe, a dark abyss

A blank canvas, an endless mist

No sound is heard, no light is seen

No life, no death, an eternal dream.

Yet in the silence, a memory stirs

Of all that was, of all that were

Of all the love, the pain, the joy

That filled our lives, when we were just a boy.

So though the end, may seem so near

And time may stop, and darkness clear

The memories live, the love endures

And in our hearts, it will always be pure. ~ Belle Webb
