From Revolution to Relaxation"

The stoner culture shift from protest songs to parking lot jams

 1960s Stoners:

  • Peace, love, and psychedelic exploration.

  • Weed, LSD, and spiritual/political awakening.

  • Music: Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane.

  • Activism, communes, and expanding consciousness.

1970s Stoners:

  • More mellow, laid-back escapism.

  • Weed, hash, Quaaludes, and classic rock vibes.

  • Music: Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley.

  • Less activism, more chilling in basements or cars.

Bottom line:

The ’60s stoner wanted to change the world.

The ’70s stoner just wanted to enjoy the ride.
